Can I install car ambient lighting myself?

Yes. The NIGHTGLOWE kit uses sub-1mm flexible strips with self-adhesive backing and wireless subcontrollers. No cutting or soldering required — most installs take 2 to 4 hours.

How are the strips powered?

The strips tap into an existing 12V accessory source inside the door panel or from the fuse box. Detailed instructions and diagrams are included with every kit.

Are the RGBIC strips waterproof?

I got these to put in my dodge and it fit perfect. The cord was long enough for me to feed it from the front to the back of the car. It has a good brightness to it. It's not overpowering to the point where it is too bright. The only thing is I did have to buy some Velcro from Home Depot to attach the floor of my seats for the back lights since I don't have any metal to stick my lights too. I think it was worth the price I paid as well, and the lights work based on a button you have to push on and off. It doesn't cut on and off with the car so keep that in mind that if you cut them on and then you cut your car off you have to remember to cut the lights off.

Great product and wiring length is extra long so you can wire tuck them anywhere you please. Plug into an available 12v DC socket and you should be good! Has an On/Off switch (which is Red in color.) Has decent adhesive to stick to smooth surfaces. If mounting under seats with fabric. I had to puncture a hole and zip tie both ends.

These lights are great, just have some strong double sided tape to mount them with as the adhesive on the back isn't very sticky. I cleaned off the area where I was mounting the lights and they would not stick at all by themselves.
