They operate independently from separate controllers, so you can run both at once or use either on its own. Many owners run both together for a full immersive cabin lighting experience.

Which App? Please Read This Before You Buy

This bundle is two separate lighting systems, and they run on two different apps. We would rather tell you now than have you find out with the headliner already down.

The starlight headliner pairs with the Magic Lantern app, on iOS and Android.
The ambient kit pairs with the LED LAMP app, on iOS and Android.

The starlight engines each ship with their own remote, so the headliner is never dependent on a phone. They are separate controllers by design, which is also why you can run the stars without the ambient lighting, or the other way round, rather than being locked into one look.

Power and Battery Safety

Wire it to a switched 12V source. This is our recommended installation method. On a switched, or ACC, feed the system powers up with the car and shuts down with it, so nothing is left connected to your battery while the car is parked.
A permanently live feed is a tradeoff, not a mistake. Some owners wire to a constant 12V source on purpose, so they can switch the lights from their phone without the ignition on. What you give up is that the controllers stay connected to the battery the whole time the car is parked, and that counts against the 50 mA parked car budget below. On a car driven most days that is usually a fair trade. On a car that sits for long stretches, or one with a battery that is already marginal, use a switched source. If you want the phone control without the constant connection, run the feed from an ignition switched fuse in the dash fuse box, or use a relay with the coil triggered by ACC.
The budget you are working inside is about 50 mA. That is the accepted figure for everything still drawing on a parked car, across the whole vehicle, shared with your car's own modules. It is why the feed you choose matters more than the kit itself.
Use the fuse rating above. This bundle runs two systems from one feed, so it draws more than either kit on its own. Fitting a larger fuse to stop one blowing removes the protection you fitted it for.
To check your own car. Put a multimeter in series with the negative battery terminal, lock the car, and wait 30 to 40 minutes for the vehicle's own modules to go to sleep before you read it. Compare that with the kit unplugged. The difference is the kit.
Adding more lights later. Each ambient sub-controller has four ports and a standard kit uses all four. To add more lighting, add another sub-controller rather than loading a full one, which dims the lights already connected to it. The controllers stay in sync over Bluetooth however many you run.
This does not affect your warranty. Hardwiring to a switched 12V accessory source is our recommended method and is not an exclusion. Incorrect wiring, and improper power or ground connections, are.

The lights look absolutely fantastic. Takes a while to install but once finished you'll be happy with the results. The customer service team is so helpful and great. They helped fix an issue I had with the lights. If the light motor box has a green and red light and will not turn on. Make sure you actually turn on them with remote before you try anything else.

Very good product, tips are to check measurements so the strands reach everywhere. The stars are very nice and very good brightness

I do starlights and upholstery on the side and I have ordered dozens of these kits, I have tried others but in the end I stuck with these because I found the connectivity on the bluetooth app is the best, in addition the twinkling mode is beautiful and there is thousands of colors. One thing I would say could be improved upon is that the included cigarette lighter cable is a little short. I wish instead of a wall outlet they included just a longer cable. Customer service is great, I had an issue on a recent order and I got it sorted out. If you are buying starlights, this is the kit you would want.

So I’ve never done a starlight kit before. I got YT certified and decided to go with it. I went with the 1200 piece kit which I feel is PERFECT for mycar. Installation wasn’t terrible, just time consuming obviously. The wires were flexible and none broke which someone had mentioned to me might happen? The held up with the hot glue good also.

I love these lights. They came with everything shown. The install to quite a bit of time since it was a first for me. But I think they came out great. They can get very bright. The app is very user friendly and connects pretty quick upon turning on. It was too big for me to hide in my headliner.

Every Feature on the app works perfectly and the lights look insane on twinkle mode. I tied the plug in into a wire getting constant power under the passenger seat and turn them on or off using my phone. I’d recommend using Bobby pins to poke the holes and gluing the fiber optics down with a glue gun on the lowest setting to prevent burning through the wires

This product is amazing the only thing I would look out for is box placement, make sure you have a place where your box will fit before you start installing the lights or when it is time to reinstall the headliner it will not fit. It is a long and tedious process( took me 17 hours of working by myself to complete) 100% worth the headache though, I reccomend getting a trim remover tool as it will make this experience way more efficient when it comes to pulling off your trim

They have several color options but I like the white the most. The app allows you to change colors and add twinkle if you like. The music function works well and makes it fun. Just what I needed to have my vehicle stand out on my private rental car platform from any other rental car agency. This is the 5th set I’ve ordered for a 5th vehicle and I’m pleased with all of them. This is 800 star kit installed.
