BMW Starlight Headliner

The NIGHTGLOWE starlight kit uses fiber optic strands threaded through your existing BMW headliner fabric. The result is indistinguishable from factory starlight headliners found on BMW's highest-spec vehicles, at a fraction of the cost. The dual-colour 20W system lets you run two colors simultaneously, so you can set one layer to warm white and one to deep blue for a layered sky effect. The shooting star module adds a moving light that travels across the roof on a timer you control via the app.

BMW RGBIC Ambient Lighting

The NIGHTGLOWE interior kit's sub-1mm LED strips fit directly into BMW's existing door card gaps, no cutting, no drilling into trim. The strips are essentially invisible in daylight and produce smooth, even light in any color at night. The wireless subcontroller system means each door connects independently to the main controller with no additional signal wiring between doors.

BMW G-series models (G20, G30, G05) come from factory with ambient lighting channels that are perfect for our strips. The factory wiring provides 12V at the door ambient light connector, no fuse tapping required on these models.

Does this work with BMW's factory ambient lighting?
Yes. The NIGHTGLOWE kit runs independently and adds more colors and zones than the factory system, with app and RF remote control. You can run both together.

Which BMW models fit a starlight headliner?
All of them. Sedans like the 3 and 5 Series and SUVs like the X5 have large fabric headliners ideal for a dense star field. Panoramic sunroof models install around the glass.

Where do I get switched power in a BMW?
Tap a switched 12V circuit at the fuse box with an add-a-fuse. Do not hardwire to the battery, it will drain it.

Will this affect my BMW warranty?
The electronics fully unplug and the roof structure is never cut. Ask your dealer about their ambient policy, and use a qualified installer since workmanship is their responsibility.
