Tesla Model 3 and Model Y: Starlight Headliner and Ambient Lighting

Tesla's minimalist interior is the perfect canvas for ambient lighting. NIGHTGLOWE's starlight headliner and RGBIC interior kit are fully compatible with Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X — and install without any permanent modifications to Tesla's electronics.

Tesla Starlight Headliner

The Model 3 and Y have a glass roof option that reduces headliner area, so we recommend the 800-strand kit for the standard roof and the 1200-strand kit for the full roof Model Y. The fiber optic system only draws 12V from the accessory circuit — it does not interact with Tesla's high-voltage battery system at any point.

Power source: the cleanest tap is the cigarette lighter fuse in the fuse box under the center console. It's ignition-switched, so the starlight turns on with the car and off when it locks. No permanent wiring required. See our Tesla lighting guide for full details.

Tesla RGBIC Ambient Lighting

Tesla Model 3 and Y have natural channels along the footwell trim and door cards that run the full length of each door. The NIGHTGLOWE sub-1mm strips fit cleanly in these channels. The dashboard strip sits behind the instrument cluster brow — a natural ledge that runs the full width of the dash. No adhesive on glass, no drilling, completely reversible.

The 22-in-1 kit is the recommended option for Tesla: it covers all four doors, the full dash, both footwells, door handles, and storage bins. The main controller taps the glovebox 12V USB port for power.

Tesla RGBIC Underglow

Model 3 and Y are low-clearance cars — the NIGHTGLOWE underglow strips mount on the rocker panels using the included outdoor 3M tape. The 4-zone controller sits under the rear seat, connected to the trunk 12V port. The sequential chase pattern works especially well on Tesla's clean body lines.
